The Road to World Parkinson’s Congress

This is my journey to the World Parkinson’s Congress in Portland in September.

I have to admit, I would not have gone on my own: my kids will have just started school (2nd and 5th grade), and it’s a busy time of the year for our family.

But as an Ambassador for the Davis Phinney Foundation, and a member of a group of 15 of us, I wanted to attend. Plus my husband said, “You HAVE to go! It will be like a week’s vacation!”

So that pretty much decided it.

The World Parkinson’s Coalition sent me this, and I think it pretty much sums it all up. Life, the irony of my situation, my new loss of balance, my bad driving skills, the fact that  there is NO WAY I could get intoxicated when half a drink puts me to sleep…
